Chernobyl 23rd Anniversary
Just 23 years ago millions of lives were changed forever. FOCCUS recognizes that the impact of this disaster is far from over. We recognize that many millions of people, now grown to adulthood or facing old age, are struggling valiantly to reclaim their lives and to rear their children successfully midst the residue of problems facing the areas and the country as a whole..
Let us remember that we, too, are working to help them in their struggle --- psychologically, emotionally, financially --- in any way we can. Let's make a commitment to expand our efforts to combat the negative consequences of this horrendous disaster and remember those who still face the impact of this environmental disaster.
